The Everest Region is a high country steeped with the world's highest peaks and an array of towering giant peaks. The Everest region and its mountain range extend towards Makalu in the east and Jugal Himal towards the west. As well as some peaks bordering Tibet/China in the north like Everest, Lingtrin and Pumori.
Everest region is located in Nepal Far Mid-East within the district of Solu-Khumbu district, populated by strong hardy highlanders the Sherpa’s.

The Everest Base Camp Trek is  one of the most favored and major adventure destinations for millions of travelers. Where one can enjoy and choose various options from a few days to a week or more. As the area has many exciting places for all types of people from moderate, and adventurous to challenging treks.
Walking at high altitudes at an average of above 3,000 m and 4,000 meters. 

 In the close shadow of Mt. Everest and giant snow-clad peaks that follow throughout the trek. Various changes that one can experience, on walks from the stunning scenery to dramatic landscapes. Tenzing Sherpa with Edmund Hillary was the first to conquer Mt. Everest on May 29th, 1953. Since then Everest region was exposed and made the high country of Khumbu famous all around the world.

After the conquest of Mt. Everest, then wide-world visitors began their adventurous journey to Nepal and around its high Himalayas.

Everest Region is famous for various adventure activities, the first popular destination is Everest Base Camp, for mountaineers and trekkers.

A dream of thousands of visitors to set foot at the base of the world's highest peaks. The trek to Everest is a straightforward route, after flying into Lukla from Kathmandu, where a walk leads through several villages.

The villages on route are adorned with charming Buddhist monuments of prayer walls and spinning wheels. The walk leads to cross exciting high suspension bridges over Dudh Kosi, which flows from the sources of Khumbu glaciers. As well Ngozumpa the longest glaciers of Nepal Himalayas with various streams and tributaries makes the raging Dudh Koshi. 

Walk follows to enter Sagarmatha National Park, which is added to the list of World Heritage. The walk follows a steep winding up to the famous Namche Bazaar the major hub of Khumbu Sherpa’s and trekkers.

Namche Bazaar is a popular vantage point for trekkers to enjoy rest and acclimatization days at 3,440 m high. The town provides many good facilities for trekkers, as well for the local native Sherpa. Once a week a busy market is held every Saturday, an interesting day to observe the activities and local cultures.

From Namche Bazaar walk on a scenic wide path to Tengboche, located on a high small plateau with a colorful monastery. A beautiful scenic spot amidst a lovely forest, encircled by an array of snow peaks with views of Mt. Everest.

After Tengboche onwards to high arid and barren mountainous terrain, walk leads to scenic Imjatse valley at Dingboche. The adventure continues heading high towards Everest base camp through the last settlements of Lobuche and Gorakshep.

Where walk follows above the Khumbu glacier and rocky moraine to Everest base camp, stand beneath the towering Mt. Everest.

At Everest base camp trekkers can enjoy the dramatic scenery of arctic landscapes of remorseless fields of ice and glaciers. Standing close to massif Khumbu Icefall is the tough and main obstacle for climbers to reach the Everest summit.

Everest base camp trek wouldn’t be complete, without climbing on top of Kalapathar rocky viewpoint hill. The highest spot of the adventure is situated high above Gorakshep and the trail to Everest base camp at 5,545 m.

A scenic country, away from the main busy trail of Everest base camp and Namche Bazaar. Leads to a picturesque country facing grand views of the world’s four highest peaks from the Gokyo-Ri hilltop at 5, 367 m.  

From The Everest Base Cmap Trekking you will Facing Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho-Oyu with a series of the snow-mountain range includes panoramic views of Gokyo valley. A great scenic place with charming emerald-colored glacial lakes, and Nepal’s longest Ngozumpa glaciers which runs from Mt. Cho-Oyu.

After a visit to Gokyo valley and its beautiful lakes, where one can extend the trek to Everest base camp. Crossing high Cho-La pass at 5, 420 m / 17, 782 feet and then towards famous Everest base camp.

The other high adventurous trek around the Everest region is Everest Three High Passes, a traverse from one valley to another. Crossing the highest pass over Kongma-la at 5,535 m, Cho-La at 5,420 m, and Renjo-La at 5,360 m. Everest Three High Passes covers all the main highlights of Khumbu and the Everest region of 18 days of trekking.

Everest region is suitable for all types of people from school/college and families with children as well. A nice and perfect option for a weeklong short and moderate trek to Tengboche Monastery. Although it involves a few steep uphill’s with a touch of high altitude, safe and scenic cultural walks to enjoy.

Apart from high Khumbu around the Everest region, trekkers can enjoy the adventure off the beaten tracks. There are hidden pockets of Everest and Khumbu areas where one can enjoy a perfect wilderness. Like trekking to Pikey View-Point at 4,302 m / 14,114 feet high. A moderate adventure of less than a week or more around southern areas of Everest. Trekking Peaks and Trekking Destination

Besides, trekking and large or major mountaineering expeditions the Everest region offer exciting thrills and climbs of various trekking peaks. 

A small-scale climbing adventure above and below 6,000 m peaks, suitable for all from beginners to veteran climbers.

Around the Everest region, various beautiful peaks to enjoy the first step in mountaineering climb. Some are technical and few peaks of less technical challenges, whereas all can have the thrill on top trekking peaks.  

The trekking peaks to choose from for interested adventurers and trekkers are Island Peak at 6,189 m / 20,305 feet high. One of the most famous and popular trekking peaks of Nepal is located within Imjatse valley.

The Lobuche East Peak is another exciting peak to climb, quite challenging and technical at 6,119 m and 20,075 feet. Lobuche Peak is gaining more popularity among climbers, located on the route to Lobuche and Everest base camp trekking area.

Mera Peak 6,461 m /21,190 feet, is one of the highest trekking peaks in Nepal, and the most popular peak to climb. Located in the hidden valley of Hinku south of Everest and on the eastern side of Khumbu. 

Mera Peak is the least technical challenge, suitable for all trekkers and age-group, all trekking peaks are alpine-style climbs.

A climb of a day or two days to the summits of most trekking peaks in the Nepal Himalayas of the Everest region. 

The culture, and religion of the Sherpa people the highlanders of Everest:  

The culture and religion of the Highlanders of Everest the Sherpa are interwoven with Buddhism religion. Similar to their predecessors the Tibetans across the border follow strict Buddhism and culture of age-old heritage. 

Enjoys and celebrates various festivals linked with Buddhism the Losar, New Year, and Mani-Rimdu religious events wading of evils. Most Sherpa villages have a monastery, where every house is adorned with prayer flags.

 Trekkers will encounter prayer and Mani walls with spinning wheels, walking clockwise is the right way concerning the culture. 

The Sherpa’s migrated from Eastern Tibet around 500 years ago, the word ‘Sher’ means east and ‘Pa’ for people. So the Sherpa is known as Eastern People or tribes, the natural mountaineers of Nepal Himalayas. 

The best seasons to visit Everest Region:

The Everest region around Solu-Khumbu district, for all seasons of the year depending on the choice of destinations. The best season is spring from March to May and autumn/fall starts from September to November. 

Spring times are lovely and lively with clear sunny days most of the season, the lower hills are colorful. When wildflowers are in seasonal bloom, especially the rhododendron of various colors and species from tall trees to the bush. 

The next best season is autumn/fall from September to November, cold in the morning and night time. Most days are bright with sunny days, but have shorter days due to sunlight hours. Interested people can trek in the winter times of December to February, especially around the lower mid-hills of the Everest region. 

The weather will be fine and clear, with much colder morning and night times with shorter days due to sunlight hours. Can get snowed sometimes nearly all season of the year, with extra wind chill factor at higher altitudes
