Overview

Lobuche peak climbing is a great adventure in Everest which allows to climb one of the most stunning peaks in Khumbu region. The combined Lobuche peak climb with Everest base camp trek offers to experience an adventurous climb of Lobuche Peak (6119m.) and to trek exciting Everest base camp. Classified as TD (Technical Difficule’) by French and Swiss Alpine climbing the Lobuche peak climbing one of the greatest adventures in the Himalayas. 
The fascinating trip starts with exploring the Kathmandu city. The city of art, culture and the history. Then a scenic flight goes to Lukla airport- the gateway of mount Everest and the adventure begins. As the trek progressed it allows to explore the vibrant local Sherpa villages of Phakding, Namche Bazaar and many more. Among them Namche Bazaar is the best and the biggest Sherpa village in Everest. This town is also popular as the Sherpa capital too. The next thing to remember during Lobuche peak climbing and Everest trek is the fascinating view points of Everest viewpoint, Tengboche view point, Nagarjun hills and Kalapatthar view point.   
Whereas the trip to Everest base camp is equally exciting and a major thing to remember during the trip. And most importantly the lifetime experience of succeeding Lobuche peak is something different. Like other trips in Everest, this trip is also suitable for two seasons. The best months to trip to Lobuche peak are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November).

Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu international airport, A1 Trek representative welcomes you and will help you to transfer to the hotel. You can then take a good rest in the hotel. Later you can explore around yourself if interested.

Go for Kathmandu valley sightseeing to explore the historical and cultural city. The sightseeing is dedicated on exploring four of the UNESCO world heritages listed sites of Kathmandu valley. Those four sites include- Kathmandu durbar square, Soyambhunath, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath.
After the sightseeing, you can then focus on the trek preparation. You can hire or buy the necessary equipment in Thamel. In the evening, you will be meeting your guide for the trip meeting.

With an early morning flight, you will be arriving Lukla airport. At Lukla, meet the porters before the starting the trek. The route to Phakding is easy one. Just keep on your eyes as the finest views of Kusum Kanguru can be collected. Phakding is a small settlement in the Dudh Koshi river bank. Enjoy a comfortable night stay at the Phakding teahouse.

Start the day with a good breakfast. Get into to Monjo then enter to Sagarmatha National park- the home for the greatest Himalayan flora and faunas. The dense forest of blue pine, deodar, rhododendron and more. On the clear day, you can also catch the first glimpse of Mount Everest on the way up to Namche Bazar. With six hours of trek, you will be reaching Namche Bazar- which is also famous as the Sherpa capital. Namche is the home for the famous mountaineers. You will be staying two nights at Namche before heading up.

After the breakfast, you will be hiking up to Everest view point to collect the 360 views of mountains. The view point offers the stunning views of Himalayas including mount Everest. Later in the afternoon, you can explore Namche Bazar or can take a good rest in your hotel.

After spending two amazing nights at Namche Bazaar, you will be trekking Tengboche this day. The route to Tengboche is fascinating as it covers the greatest views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse and more. Tengboche is the village with the biggest Buddhist monastery in Everest. Make sure to visit Tengboche monastery. Later in the evening, you can collect the greater view of sunset in the Himalayas. The overnight will be at a local teahouse.

Start the hiking after the breakfast. The route to Dingboche is mostly uphill where you will be crossing several suspension bridges and local villages. One of the best villages you cross on the day is Pangboche village-which offers the greater views of mount Ama Dablam. Occasionally, this section offers the spotting of snow leopard and Himalayan musk deer too. Located at 4410 meters above the sea level, Dingboche is a small settlement, where you will be spending two nights.

After the breakfast, take a short hike to Nagarjun hills. It is the vintage point to collect the best views of mount Ama dablam, Lhotse, Labuche and more. Then after retrace back to the lodge and spend the day with taking a good rest.

Enter the valley of dusted snowed grasslands, you can enjoy the greater views of Amadablam, Lhotse, Pumori and more along the way. Labuche todays’ overnight place is a small Sherpa settlement with few teahouses around. Take a good sleep with the excitement of getting to Everest base camp next day.

The most exciting day, you will first trek to Gorakshep for three hours. You will then have you lunch there. Post lunch, leave your bag packs and start the hike to Everest base camp with some essentials (day pack, water, camera and some chocolates). It takes ninety minutes to get to base camp from Gorakshep. Enjoy the moments, collect the memories and leave the footprint at Everest base camp. Then retrace back to Gorakshep for the night.

With an early morning hike, you will be reaching to Kalapathar to collect the best sunrise view and the excellent views of the Himalayas. Then after you will be trekking back to Gorakshep for the breakfast. After the breakfast, you will the taking the route towards Lobuche Base Camp. You will be staying overnight at a tented camp at Lobuche base camp.

The day is dedicated for the acclimatization. You will be doing some climbing preparation this day. You will be staying overnight at a tented camp.

Following the rocky moraine path, with four hours of the gradual walk, you will be reaching to Lobuche high camp of the advance camp for the night. Upon arriving at the high camp, you can take the good rest where the guides will be busy finding the best route and fixing the ropes for next day’s climb. You will be staying overnight at a tented camp.

The main is here, you will be starting early this day. The climb towards the top is technical and relatively a challenging task. But with our experienced guides and the crews it will be lot easier for you. Upon reaching the top the peak, you will be awarded with the supreme views of Mt. Everest 8,848 m, Lhotse 8,501 m, Mt. Ama Dablam 6,856 m,Mt. Makalu 8, 463 m, Chamlang and Baruntseand adjoining peaks.  After spending some time at the top, you will be then descending down to the base camp for the night.

This reserved day at the base camp is dedicated for in case of bad weather. If everything goes fine then the contingency day is not needed.

After completing the Lobuche, you will be now getting to the main trekking route of Everest base camp. From the base camp, you will be following a downhill route with the good views of Himalayas, you will be getting to Pangboche. Pangboche is a small and beautiful village at the lap of the mountains. You can enjoy the excellent views of mountains at Pangboche. You will be spending your night at a local teahouse at Pangboche.

The easy and pleasant way. Although the distance is bit longer, the route is mostly descending. You will be crossing the familiar village of Pangboche, Tengboche before getting back to Namche Bazar. At Namche Bazar you can go the café to enjoy the good coffee and the fresh bakes.

Retrace the same way back, that you have followed up. Get the final glimpse of mount Everest, enjoy the stunning trails, wish a good luck to the trekkers going up. At Lukla, you will be saying good bye to your porter as well.

With collecting all the greatest memories of the trek, today you will be flying back to Kathmandu. From Kathmandu airport you will be transferred to the hotel where you can take a relaxing rest.

You can take an entire day on resting at Kathmandu. You can also go to the spa or massages to give some relief for your tired body. You can also do some shopping in Thamel.
