Overview


One of the most exciting treks in the world, Annapurna circuit trek is a trip around of the beautiful Annapurna massive. An excellent trekking includes of walking each side of dry to arid North to lush green south of Annapurna mountains. Trekking from the lower altitude to the higher elevation of Thorang la pass; this is a lifetime adventure. 
The change in temperature, landscapes, vegetations and the different lifestyle of the people makes this trek the most promising one. People with unspoiled culture and the trail with some of the finest monasteries adds the excitement on the trekking. The supreme views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massive are scintillating. Experiencing the hike through Thorang La (5416m.)- the highest Himalayan pass of Nepal is a great challenge. Similarly, exploring the famous Mukitnath temple is interesting. Muktinath temple is a place of devotion for bot Hindus and Buddhists. 
 The deepest gorge in the world- Kali Gandaki gorge is next pick of the route. Whereas, Marpha village- the apple heritage is wonderful. Likewise, visiting the vibrant village of Manang, Marpha, Ghorepani are the best things. And finally, hiking up to Poon Hill before getting back to Pokhara is stunning.

Itinerary

Upon arriving at Kathmandu international airport, one of our representatives will be welcoming you in a traditional way. Then you will be transferred to the hotel. In the free time, you can take a good rest or can explore around the local market.

You will be taking part in the full day Kathmandu valley sightseeing. The program is dedicated to explore the four of the UNESCO world heritages listed sites in Kathmandu. The four sites include- Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Temple, Soyambhunath Temple and Patan Durbar Square. After the sightseeing, you can prepare the needed stuff for the trek. If you do need to buy or hire anything then, your guide can show you a good place.

After the breakfast, you will be starting the beautiful journey of AC trek. Taking the Nepal mid-west highway to Besisahar first. The drive continues on the dirt road of Khudi, Bhulbule and finally to Syange. It is the place where you will be spending your night.

The trek officially kicks off. You will start with an uphill climb Jagat first. Here you will be leaving Marsyandhi river behind. Following the winding path, get to Chamje to meet the eastern bank of the river again. As the trek continues, you can enjoy the excellent views of Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges.  You will then finally reach Dharapani for the night. Dharapani is a small village and is the meeting point of Annapurna circuit and Manaslu trekking. You will be spending the night at a local teahouse.

The trek resumes after the breakfast. Taking the wide winding trail through rhododendron and pine forest, you will first be passing a small yet beautiful village of Bagarchap. You will then gradually get to Danque then to Timang. You are now officially entering the area with reach Buddhist culture. On the final section, you will be passing Koto before getting to Chame village. You will be spending your night at Chame at a local lodge.

From here onwards air gets cooler and fresher as walk leads close towards mountains, morning walk through alpine forest of rhododendron and pine trees, following Marshyangdi River upstream with few short ups and down hills to Bhratang village. Overlooking views of Chulu’s and Pisang peaks, a possible lunch break here, and then afternoon walk descends to reach at lower Pisang village for overnight stop.

Start the day with breakfast. You will then start the trek with the great views of mountains and surrounding landscapes. The route slowly starts gaining the altitude and offers the greater views of Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Chulu and more. From Hongde village, the tree lines disappear and the cold weather welcomes you. Along the way to Manang. You will get chance to visit Braga monastery. Then get to Manang village for the overnight.
Manang village is village with rich culture and traditions.  You will be spending two nights here in Manang.

On the free day explore around the beautiful village of Manang. You can enjoy the greater views of Annapurna II-III and Gangapurna mountain range. Additionally, a nice walk uphill for views of Gangapurna Glacier and the Manang emerald Lake would be a good fit for the day.

After two wonderful days in Manang, you will be starting the trek after the breakfast. Leaving Manang, you will be trekking towards Ghunsang village. Then the uphill route takes you to Yak Kharka. Yak Kharka is a wonderful village with superb views of mountains. The mountains that can be seen here are Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Chulu Peaks. You will be staying overnight at a local teahouse.

Leave Yak Kharka after breakfast. The route heads towards the Thorang High Camp crossing the bridge and climbing along the river bank of Jarjung, and then to ThorangPhedi. ThorangPhedi is an alternate overnight place of Thorang High Camp. From ThorangPhedi you will be walking further to Thorang High Camp for the night. You will be staying overnight at a local lodge.

One of the hardest and the biggest day. Start the journey early morning with a pack breakfast. The first section is steep climb to reach Thorang La. The top offers the excellent views of snow-capped mountains and great landscapes. Spend some time at Thorang La before making the final descent to Muktinath. Muktinath is the sacred place to Hindus and Buddhists. Whereas, the literal meaning of Muktinath is salvation. You will be staying at a local teahouse at Muktinath.

Explore around the temple in the morning. Then after you will be taking a downhill route to get back to Jomsom. Jomsom is the headquarter of Mustang region. You can explore around the local village in the free time. You will be spending the night at a local lodge.

With an early morning flight, you will be getting to Pokhara. In Pokhara, you can do a half day sightseeing to explore Phewa Lake, Devis Falls and Gupteshwor cave. In the evening, you can collect a good sunset view from Phewa Lakeside.

Collecting the great memories of the Annapurna circuit trek, you will be driving back to Kathmandu this day. In the evening, you can do some last-minute shopping around Thamel. Then you can prepare your luggage.

After an amazing week in Nepal, you will be transferred to Kathmandu airport to catch your returning flight home. Our representative will be helping you to transferred to airport, with a hope to see you again in Nepal.  “FERI BHETAULA”.
