Overview

Everest base camp trek and fly back by helicopter is luxury Everest base camp trip. The fascinating trip starts with a day tour of Kathmandu valley. The day trip in Kathmandu offers to visit four of the UNESCO world heritages listed sites of Kathmandu. The trip then directs towards Lukla with a scenic flight. Lukla airport is one of the adventurous airports in the world. 
Lukla onwards, the trek begins through the dense forest of rhododendron, pine and oak to reach Namche Bazar via Phakding village. Phakding is a small Sherpa village, whereas Namche Bazaar is the biggest Sherpa settlement in the route. Namche Bazar is also popular as the Sherpa capital. The next stop of the trek is Tengboche, which is regarded as one of the best sunrises and sunset points in Everest.Likewise, Tengboche monastery, the biggest Buddhist monastery in the region is the place to explore at Tengboche. 
The next stop of Dingboche includes of an amazing side hike of Nagarjun hills for the best views. The route gradually gets to Everest Base Camp vaiLobuche and Gorakshep. At Everest base camp, you can enjoy your trip of the lifetime. The final destination of the trip is Kalapatthar view point. Kalapatthar is the best place to see Mount Everest. Then the swift scenic flight of Helicopter from Gorakshep to Kathmandu is the best part of the trip. 
The Everest base camp trek and fly back by chopper can be done in three seasons; spring (March to May), autumn (September to November) and winter (December to February). Although, trekking Everest in monsoon (June to August) is not recommended due to the heavy rainfall.

Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu international airport, A1 Trek representative welcomes you and will help you to transfer to the hotel. You can then take a good rest in the hotel. Later you can explore around yourself if interested.

Go for Kathmandu valley sightseeing to explore the historical and cultural city. The sightseeing is dedicated on exploring four of the UNESCO world heritages listed sites of Kathmandu valley. Those four sites include- Kathmandu durbar square, Soyambhunath, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath.
After the sightseeing, you can then focus on the trek preparation. You can hire or buy the necessary equipment in Thamel. In the evening, you will be meeting your guide for the trip meeting.

With an early morning flight, you will be arriving Lukla airport. At Lukla, meet the porters before the starting the trek. The route to Phakding is easy one. Just keep on your eyes as the finest views of Kusum Kanguru can be collected. Phakding is a small settlement in the Dudh Koshi river bank. Enjoy a comfortable night stay at the Phakding teahouse.

Start the day with a good breakfast. Get into to Monjo then enter to Sagarmatha National park- the home for the greatest Himalayan flora and faunas. The dense forest of blue pine, deodar,rhododendron and more. On the clear day, you can also catch the first glimpse of Mount Everest on the way up to Namche Bazar. With six hours of trek, you will be reaching Namche Bazar- which is also famous as the Sherpa capital. Namche is the home for the famous mountaineers. You will be staying two nights at Namche before heading up.

After the breakfast, you will be hiking up to Everest view point to collect the 360 views of mountains. The view point offers the stunning views of Himalayas including mount Everest. Later in the afternoon, you can explore Namche Bazar or can take a good rest in your hotel.

After spending two amazing nights at Namche Bazaar, you will be trekking Tengboche this day. The route to Tengboche is fascinating as it covers the greatest views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse and more. Tengboche is the village with the biggest Buddhist monastery in Everest. Make sure to visit Tengboche monastery. Later in the evening, you can collect the greater view of sunset in the Himalayas. The overnight will be at a local teahouse.

Start the hiking after the breakfast. The route to Dingboche is mostly uphill where you will be crossing several suspension bridges and local villages. One of the best villages you cross on the day is Pangboche village-which offers the greater views of mount Ama Dablam. Occasionally, this section offers the spotting of snow leopard and Himalayan musk deer too. Located at 4410 meters above the sea level, Dingboche is a small settlement, where you will be spending two nights.

After the breakfast, take a short hike to Nagarjun hills. It is the vintage point to collect the best views of mount Ama dablam, Lhotse, Labuche and more. Then after retrace back to the lodge and spend the day with taking a good rest.

Enter the valley of dusted snowed grasslands, you can enjoy the greater views of Amadablam, Lhotse, Pumori and more along the way. Labuche todays’ overnight place is a small Sherpa settlement with few teahouses around. Take a good sleep with the excitement of getting to Everest base camp next day.

The most exciting day, you will first trek to Gorakshep for three hours. You will then have you lunch there. Post lunch, leave your bag packs and start the hike to Everest base camp with some essentials (day pack, water, camera and some chocolates). It takes ninety minutes to get to base camp from Gorakshep. Enjoy the moments, collect the memories and leave the footprint at Everest base camp. Then retrace back to Gorakshep for the night.

Early morning, get to Kalapatthar to collect the best sunrise view. Kalapatthar is actually the better place to see the closer views of Mount Everest. And collecting the sunrise view at Kalapatthar is the best experience of the whole trek. You will then get back to Gorakshep for the breakfast. After the breakfast, you will be taking a best helicopter ride back to Kathmandu from Gorakshep. You will be then transferred to the hotel. In the free time you can take a good rest.

You can take an entire day on resting at Kathmandu. You can also go to the spa or massages to give some relief for your tired body. You can also do some shopping in Thamel.
