Upon arriving at Kathmandu international airport, one of our representatives will be welcoming you in a traditional way. Then you will be transferred to the hotel. In your free time, you can take a good rest or can explore the local market.
You will be taking part in the full-day Kathmandu valley sightseeing. The program is dedicated to exploring the four UNESCO world heritage sites in Kathmandu. The four sites include- Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Temple, Soyambhunath Temple, and Patan Durbar Square. After the sightseeing, you can prepare the needed stuff for the trek. If you need to buy or hire anything, your guide can show you a good place.
After breakfast, you will be starting the beautiful journey of AC trek. Take the Nepal mid-west highway to Besisahar first. The drive continues on the dirt road of Khudi, Bhulbule, and finally to Syange. It is the place where you will be spending your night.
The trek officially kicks off. You will start with an uphill climb Jagat first. Here you will be leaving the Marsyandhi river behind. Following the winding path, get to Chamje to meet the eastern bank of the river again. As the trek continues, you can enjoy the excellent views of the Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges. You will then finally reach Dharapani for the night. Dharapani is a small village and is the meeting point of the Annapurna circuit and Manaslu trekking. You will be spending the night at a local teahouse.
The trek resumes after breakfast. Taking the wide winding trail through rhododendron and pine forest, you will first be passing a small yet beautiful village of Bagarchap. You will then gradually get to Danque and then to Timing. You are now officially entering the area with reach Buddhist culture. In the final section, you will pass Koto before leaving Chame village. You will be spending your night at Chame at a local lodge.
From here onwards air gets cooler and fresher as the walk leads close to mountains, morning walk through the alpine forest of rhododendron and pine trees, following Marshyangdi River upstream with a few short ups and down hills to Bhratang village. Overlooking views of Chulu’s and Pisang peaks, a possible lunch break here, and then an afternoon walk descends to reach at lower Pisang village for an overnight stop.
The day is dedicated to acclimatization to adapt to the thin air. In your free time, you can explore the local village of Pisang. A short hike around and walking to the higher elevation and getting back to Pisang will be helpful. You will be staying overnight at a teahouse.
Heading north above the Pisang village, you will first reach Kharka. Kharka is actually a yak pasture. There onwards you will be hiking to the top ridge near the Pisang peak for the night. Your guide will be setting the tented camp there. You will be staying overnight at a tented camp.
Relatively shorter day of the trip, walking on the rocks, ice, and glacier path, you will be getting up to the high camp for the camp. Upon arriving at the high camp, your guide will be setting the camp for the night. You can then take a good rest with the good views of the mountains. You will be staying overnight at a tented camp.
The day is to adapt to the thin air and prepare for the final climb. Today your guide will be checking the best assailable route to the top. You can rest well and reserve the energy for the big day. You will be staying overnight at a tented camp.
Starting early morning, the first section of the day is over the moraine and ice falls to the ridge which is the last snow slope. Then following the steep rocky and technical section you will be reaching the summit of Pisang Peak. The top of Pisang peak offers the greatest views of mount Annapurna ranges plus the Chulu peaks. The scenic views of mount Manaslu can be collected from the top too. After the successful summit, you will be then retracing back to the base camp for the night. You will be staying overnight at a tented camp.
The extra day is dedicated in case of bad weather. If everything goes right, this contingency day is not needed for the trip.
After the successful climb of Pisang peak, this day you will be trekking to Manang village for the night. The route to Manang is an easy trail with the excellent views of Annapurna II and III, GangapurnaChulu’s, and Pisang peak. First, reach to Hongde village, then the gradual walks lead to Braga, where you can visit the Braga monastery. Then with a few hours push you will be reaching Manang for the night. You will be now staying overnight at a local teahouse.
The trek after breakfast. Leaving Manang, you will be trekking towards Ghunsang village. Then the uphill route takes you to Yak Kharka. Yak Kharka is a wonderful village with superb views of mountains. The mountains that can be seen here are Gangapurna, Annapurna III, and Chulu Peaks. You will be staying overnight at a local teahouse.
Leave Yak Kharka after breakfast. The route heads towards the Thorang High Camp crossing the bridge and climbing along the river bank of Jarjung, and then to ThorangPhedi. ThorangPhedi is an alternate overnight place of Thorang High Camp. From ThorangPhedi you will be walking further to Thorang High Camp for the night. You will be staying overnight at a local lodge.
One of the hardest and the biggest day. Start the journey early morning with a packed breakfast. The first section is a steep climb to reach Thorang La. The top offers excellent views of snow-capped mountains and great landscapes. Spend some time at Thorang La before making the final descent to Muktinath. Muktinath is a sacred place to Hindus and Buddhists. Whereas, the literal meaning of Muktinath is salvation. You will be staying at a local teahouse at Muktinath.
Explore around the temple in the morning. Then after you will be taking a downhill route to get back to Jomsom. Jomsom is the headquarter of the Mustang region. You can explore the local village in your free time. You will be spending the night at a local lodge.
With an early morning flight, you will be getting to Pokhara. In Pokhara, you can do half-day sightseeing to explore Phewa Lake, Devis Falls, and Gupteshwor cave. In the evening, you can collect a good sunset view from Phewa Lakeside.
Collecting the great memories of the Ghorepani trek, you will be driving back to Kathmandu this day. In the evening, you can do some last-minute shopping around Thamel. Then you can prepare your luggage
After an amazing week in Nepal, you will be transferred to Kathmandu airport to catch your returning flight home. Our representative will be helping you to transfer to the airport, with the hope to see you again in Nepal. “FERI BHETAULA”.
