Route

The trek begins at Lukla, an attractive village in the Everest region. From here, you can hike past lush forests, majestic peaks, and Glacial Rivers as you make your way to Everest Base Camp.

Along the way, you will pass through the charming villages of Namche Bazaar, Dingboche, and Lobuche. The Everest Base Camp Trek is quite spirited, but the rewards are immense. You will be rewarded with incredible views of Mount Everest and its surrounding peaks, including the two Makalu.

You will also get to experience the unique culture of the Sherpa people, who inhabit the region. You will be provided with all the necessary equipment and supplies, along with experienced guides who will safeguard your safety throughout the intact journey.

Best Season

The best season for Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek is spring (March-May). During the spring months, the weather is mild and there will be no rain at all. The skies are typically clear and you can enjoy the fabulous views of the Himalayas.

Additionally, the trails are a bit dusty and there is no snow, allowing for better footing and more enjoyable hiking up the path. This spring season is better for peak climbing and mountain climbing as well. You can see hundreds of colorful tents in a base camp that are acclimatizing to reach the summit. 

During the summer months June to August, the weather is quite warm but it will be rainy and cloudy. March to May will be the best time for climbing and Expeditions in the Nepal Himalayas. The intense heat can make the trek more challenging, especially at high altitudes.

Additionally, there is more rainfall during the summer months, which can make the trek more difficult and the trails more slippery. This high mountain trek should be done in the perfect season otherwise it will be more risky and challenging.

The autumn months (September-November) are also a great time for the Everest region trek. Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek. The temperatures are comfortable and the trails are relatively free of snow.

Additionally, the autumn months are known for having the clearest skies and the most splendid views.

Finally, winter (December-February) can be a good time to trek the Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek. The temperatures are quite cold, but the trails are typically free of snow.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

On arrival at Kathmandu, Nepal International Airport well received by our guide and staff with traditional welcome greetings. Then a short drive to your hotel, located in the heart of the city. Accommodation in one of the best 5-star deluxe hotels. Check into your lovely rooms, after resting and getting refreshed from the Jet-Lag. Walk down to the hotel lobby to join other trekking members for a group briefing. Provided by your guide or Group Leader, with useful information regarding the trek, hotels, and local lodge on route walks. 

Evening a group welcome dinner in authentic Nepali Restaurants. Entertains you with a Nepalese folk cultural program, an introduction to Nepalese heritage and culture while you enjoy the meals.

Day 2 : Tour of Kathmandu heritage sites of great interest.

Another day in Kathmandu for familiarization with local Nepalese cultures and historical background. The morning after breakfast, our city / cultural guide will take you for a short drive in the heart of Kathmandu city. 

Kathmandu's most places are steeped with UNESCO World Heritage Sites, like the old Durbar Square / Palace Courtyard. After an interesting tour of old Durbar Square, a short drive to Nepal’s famous landmark. The Swayambhunath Stupa of more than 2,500 years of history.  A Buddhist monument stands on a hilltop west of Kathmandu city, from here visit Pashupatinath. The holy Hindu Temple of Lord Shiva, one of the most revered sacred sites, the tour continues to Bouddhanath Stupa, also called ‘Little Tibet’. A great place houses the world’s largest Stupa with the seeing eyes of Lord Buddha.

After an exciting tour, back to the hotel rest of the afternoon preparing for the Everest Luxury trek.

Day 3 : Fly to Lukla 2, 846 m and trek to Phakding 2,645 m - 04 hrs.

As the time for Lukla flight, early morning transfer to Kathmandu domestic air terminal, then board in a small aircraft. During 35 minutes air enjoy the panorama of the Himalayan range of peaks with Mt. Everest, as the plane lands at Lukla airport.

The airport is named in tribute to the late Tenzing & Hillary, from Lukla walk begins towards Dudh Koshi River valley. A pleasant walk of a few hours through Sherpa villages adorned with Buddhist monuments and prayer walls.

After a few hours of a good walk reach Phakding village for overnight in the comfort of a nice lodge or resort.

Day 4 : Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m / 11, 350 feet - 06 hrs.

From Phakding today's walk leads to the famous Namche Bazaar, morning after breakfast, walk across a long bridge to Monjo village. Then enter Sagarmatha National Park, Sagarmatha the name of Everest in Nepal, while the native Sherpa calls Chomolungma. 

On entering the national park, cross another bridge to Jorsalle for a lunch stop, the last village before Namche Bazaar. Afternoon walks on Dudh Kosi River valley, then crossing a high last bridge. An exciting long winding uphill brings you to Namche Bazaar and check into a nice lovely lodge for an overnight stop.

Day 5 : At Namche for acclimatization and a short scenic hike.

A day in Namche Bazaar, for acclimatization before heading towards the higher altitude. In the morning take a short hike on top of Namche Bazaar for grand views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse. Includes Ama Dablam with an array of peaks, as well visit the park museum. Afternoon browses around the streets of Namche Bazaar, and soak into the local immense cultures of Buddhism. An interesting place with nearly all the facilities for local villagers as well for trekkers.

Day 6 : Trek to Tengboche 3,867 m - 05 hrs.

Adventure from Namche continues leaving Namche Bazaar towards our destinations, morning walk on the scenic wide path. Facing views of snow peaks and then down to Imjatse River. A small settlement and popular lunch and refreshing stops, afternoon climb up to Tengboche monastery. A beautiful spot surrounded by a giant mountain panorama with views of Everest. At Tengboche tour of the monastery. Observe the monastery interior and main prayer hall adorned with tall statues of Buddha with various saints and Gurus.

From Tengboche a short descent to a nice lovely area at Deboche for an overnight stop, where the best lodges are available.

Day 7 : Trek to Dingboche 4,340 m - 05 hrs.

After a wonderful stop at Deboche near Tengboche facing morning views of 

Mount Everest and majestic Ama Dablam. Morning walks down to Imjatse River to cross a bridge, from here tree lines fade for short alpine bushes. 

A slow gradual climb to Pangboche village, the last permanent village on route Everest base camp. From here a short up to Somare for a possible lunch stop with close views of towering Mt. Ama Dablam.

After lunch a slow climb uphill, the afternoon can be windy due to open exposed terrain. Walk down to a river, and then climb towards scenic Imjatse Valley at Dingboche. Situated beneath Ama Dablam North Face facing views of Island Peak, Nuptse, and Lhotse with Taboche Peak. Transfer into one of the best lodges available with rooms overlooking views of snow-clad peaks.

Day 8 : Rest day in Dingboche for acclimatization and short excursion.

Enjoy another rest day at Dingboche, a lovely spot enclosed by a high mountain range within scenic Imjatse Valley. Enjoy a short acclimatization hike to Nakarjung Hill above Dingboche offers a grand panorama of surrounding snow peaks.

Overlooking Island Peak with Mt. Makalu in the east with an array of giant mountain ranges. Afternoon at leisure and explore around Dingboche a moderate settlement with many nice lodges and restaurants.

Day 9 : Trek to Lobuche 4,960 m - 05 hrs.

After an enjoyable time at Dingboche, the walk continues heading for a short steep climb and then walking on the gentle path. The trail winds up to Thugla, a small settlement with few tea houses and lodges. Where the trail from Pheriche and Dingboche joins, a nice spot for a lunch stop. Afternoon climb up to Thugla ridge, and then on a gradual path to Lobuche, and transfer into a nice lodge. 

Lobuche is located on a wide valley with several good lodges facing grand views of Nuptse Peak.

Day 10 : Trek to Everest Base Camp 5,364 m and back to Gorakshep - 07/8 hrs.

Today, the big day of the adventure starts the morning hike after early breakfast, our mission to Everest base camp. One of the longest day walks, heading towards the rocky moraine and above the Khumbu glacier. After a few hours of good hike reach Gorakshep, located on a flat glaciated field beneath Kalapathar hill and Mt. Pumori. From Gorakshep, continue towards the east following over a rocky path above Khumbu glaciers, then reaching base camp. Stand beneath the towering peaks of Nuptse, Lhotse, and Everest, which are not visibly obstructed by other high peaks.

Enjoy the dramatic scenery of ice and glaciers within close reach of massif Khumbu Ice Fall. On reaching our main highlight of the adventure walk back to Gorakshep for an overnight stop. After a long exciting great day at Everest base camp.

Day 11 : Climb Kalapathar 5,643 m and trek to Pangboche 4310m - 06 hrs.

Rising early for the last final adventure hike to the top of Kalapathar rocky hill, the highest point of the journey. Rewards breathtaking panorama of towering giant peaks with Mount Pumori in front, overlooking the closest views of Mount Everest.

After an exciting moment on top of the world feeling in high spirits, descend to Gorakshep. After having breakfast return and walk downhill past Lobuche and Thugla, and down to Pheriche Valley. Stopping at Pheriche settlement for lunch a place with many good lodges and restaurants.

Having lunch along with views of Taboche and Cholatse and Ama Dablam peaks, walk down to a river. A short climb and then descend to Pangboche for an overnight stop in the comfort of a nice good lodge.

Day 12 : Trek to Everest View Hotel 3, 880 m via Tengboche - 06 hrs.

Morning from Pangboche walk gets easier as the altitude gets lower, hike down to a river to cross a bridge. From the bridge a long climb back into green tree lines reaching Tengboche for a short stop. The walk continues downhill to cross another bridge with a short climb up to Sanasa village. Which is close to the junction of the Namche, Khumjung, and Gokyo route, and from here a short up to Khumjung village.

After a rest, a short steep climb for less than an hour reaches a high ridge covered in dense tree lines. Everest View Hotel is, the first deluxe and luxury hotel ever built around the high Khumbu region. Enjoy the luxury comfort at Everest View Hotel overnight facing an excellent view of Mount Everest.

Day 13 : Trek to Monjo 2,880 m via Namche Bazaar- 05 hrs.

After a pleasant overnight in a tranquil spot at Everest View Hotel, enjoy the morning glory view of the Snow Mountains. Walk leads on the gradual path with a long downhill to Namche Bazaar for a possible lunch stop. Afternoon head down to Dudh-Koshi River and then short up to Sagarmatha National Park. 

Walk through the park entry and exit post, then reach the lovely village of Monjo for an overnight halt.

Day 14 : Trek to Lukla 2, 846 m - 04 hours.

Last day of the adventure, enjoy the morning walk with short downs and ups to Phakding. From Phakding on the same trail with an hour climb to Lukla for a final overnight halt around Khumbu and Everest region. At Lukla for lunch and overnight stop, with time to browse the town of Lukla.

Day 15 : Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu with afternoon free at leisure.

An early breakfast, with a short walk to Tenzing & Hillary airport terminal in Lukla, as the plane arrives from Kathmandu. Board on the small aircraft for a swift short flight back to Kathmandu, and then transfer to the hotels.

The rest of the day at leisure and for individual activities and shopping souvenirs of Nepal.

Day 16 : Free day as contingency and for individual activities.

Reserved as contingency day, in case of flight delay or cancelation in Lukla due to unfavorable weather conditions. Might occur sometime, if all goes well as per the itinerary enjoy the full day in Kathmandu relaxing and recalling the memories of wonderful Everest base camp trekking. As will join in for another tour to Patan and Bhaktapur, worth a visit.

Day 17 : International departure for homeward bound.

On your last day in Kathmandu and Nepal, as per your international flight time, our staff transfer you to the airport. Then bid farewell to the guide and staff as you enter the airport terminal for a homeward-bound flight, after a memorable adventure on Everest Luxury Trekking.
