The restricted area trek to Manaslu cannot be done individually. This means the trekker has to trek through a Nepalese government-registered company and has to have a minimum of two trekkers. The permits needed for the Manaslu circuit trek are a restricted area permit, an Annapurna conservation area permit (ACAP), and a Manaslu conservation area permit (MCAP). 

Trekking in Nepal is a seasonal adventure activity. Like other treks, Manaslu is the same. The best time to trek the Manaslu circuit trekking is in the months of spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). Tripping Manaslu in the months of winter (December to February) is doable. But trekking to Manaslu in the months of monsoon (June to August) is not recommended due to the heavy rain.  

Route

The route begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Arughat and Sotikhola. This place is located at the base of Mount Manaslu. Here you will meet your complete staff for the trek.

During your trek, you will follow the Budhi Gandaki River valley. Past terraced farmlands, through remote villages and high meadows, eventually up into the rugged wilderness of the Manaslu region. similarly, this route heading to Manaslu Tsum Valley also begins from the same trekking starting point. 
Along the way, you will discover ancient monasteries and stunning views of the world’s highest mountains. On the Manaslu Circuit, you have the opportunity to trek through diverse landscapes and visit both Hindu and Buddhist villages. This trek also offers amazing views of Mount Manaslu, 8,163 meters of Mount Ganesh Himal, 7134 meters, and Boudha Dwarika and Chulu Peaks. 
As you ascend towards the Larke la pass 5106 meters, you will be pushed to your limits. You will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the landscapes and wildlife. 
Finally, the Trek route will be heading down to Manang District via Bhimthang and Tilje. Then you will meet the route that heads up to Annapurna Circuit Trek.

Trek Distance

Manaslu Trek lies in the northern Himalayan range, in the west-central part of Gorkha District. Manaslu Circuit Trekking is about one hundred seventy-seven kilometers (177) in total distance. The Trek is widely varied as territories range from the lowest point to the 8,163m of the world’s eighth-highest mountain Manaslu.  

You will be walking for 12 days at an average Distance—approximately 15 to 20 kilometers which can be pretty hectic for you. The beginning of the Manaslu Trek trail follows Budhi Gandaki Gorge is a distressing Steep. Trekkers will walk through breezy trails and cross suspension bridges above the Budhi Gandaki River. Crossing Larke-La pass at an altitude of 5,213m is challenging, walking down to Bhimthang and heading to Dharapani which is a route to Annapurna Circuit Trail. Finally, your trip is to come to an end. From there you can take a Jeep drive to Beshisahar and head up to Pokhara or Kathmandu.

Accommodation

Cost and Permit

The permit cost for the trek is USD 70/- for the first seven days and an extra day will cost $10/- per day from September to November. For the other month December to August, for the first seven days, and USD 7 for an extra day. Manaslu Conservation Area Permit for SAARC (South Asian Association Regional Countries) is Two Hundred Rupees per person and for other nations is 2 thousand per person. 

If you enter Manaslu after crossing Larke Pass then you will be entering the Annapurna Conservation Area. It would help if you got a permit from Annapurna Conservation. Annapurna Permit Cost is Rs. 3400/- per person. Together with your stay in Nepal, Food, Porters, a Guide, a two-night hotel in Kathmandu, transportation, and a shortlist of packages included in our package for the Manaslu trek costs $1355/- per person. Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m./4429ft). and transfer to the Hotel

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative. You will be then transferred to the hotel. Later, you can rest well or walk around the local market in your free time.  it depends on your arrival, if you arrive during the day we will introduce the Trekking guide and he will give some suggestions for the trekking preparation. 

Accommodation: at a 3-star hotel on a twin/double sharing basis.

Day 2 : Kathmandu valley sightseeing and Trek preparation for next day

The full-day Kathmandu Valley sightseeing is dedicated to exploring four of the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Kathmandu. The sites that are covered are Pashupatinath Temple, Soyambhunath Temple, Boudhanath Temple, and Patan Durbar Square. During the sightseeing, you will get insights into the historical, cultural, and religious aspects of the valley. after finishing the tour you can prepare trekking gear and (Preparation of Trekking permit).

Day 3 : Drive to Machha Khola (930m/3051ft./5/6 hours trek).

The overland journey starts after breakfast. The route heads towards the mid-west zone from Dhading to Gorkha. You can collect wonderful views of green hills and the occasional views of the mountains along the way. The exciting journey also includes driving via the Trishuli and Budi Gandaki rivers to reach Machha Khola for the night. You will be staying overnight at a local Tea house lodge.

Day 4 : Trek to Yaru-phant(1,300m/424265 ft./5/6ours trek).

Trekking starts today and The path Follows the Budigandaki upstream you will first reach Besi, which is a small farm village. From there following the winding path you will reach Tatopani village- the literal meaning of Tatopani is hot water and this village has a natural hot spring. You can take a hot bath in the hot spring. You will then continue of trek passing Dovan village to reach Yaruphant for the night. You will be staying overnight at a local teahouse at Yaruphant. 

Day 5 : Trek to Philim (1,700 m /555577 ft./5/6ours trek).

The journey resumes after breakfast. The first village you will get to today is Jagat. The walk from Jagat continues heading to the higher areas through some small farm villages. The locals working on the farms and the typical local style of the houses are interesting to watch. Upon crossing the suspension bridge, you will be reaching Philim. Philim is a large village with scattered farmhouses. You will be spending your night at a local lodge. 

Day 6 : Trek to Behi Phedi(2060 m /676758 ft.5/6ours trek).

After spending a wonderful night at Philim, the day starts with a good breakfast. The first section of Philim to Deng is easy. Deng, onwards you will enter the cooler area and you will then start entering the Himalayan alpine region.  With four hours of walking, you will reach Behi Phedi overnight. You will be staying at a local teahouse.

Day 7 : Trek to Namrung (3,080 m /10104 ft. /5/6 hours trek).

Grab the delicious breakfast and start the journey towards Namrung. The first place you will be getting today is Ghap village, which is a beautiful village with people who follow Tibetan Buddhism. From that onwards, you can see the true local cultures and the traditions which are highly influenced by Tibetan Buddhism. Then following the Budigandaki River then crossing it, you will trek through the small farm villages and cultivated farm fields to reach Namrung village for the night. 

Namrung village offers excellent views of Mt. Manaslu's north face and adjoining peaks.  You will be staying overnight at a local lodge in Namrung.

Day 8 : Trek to Lho Gaon (3320m/10892 ft. /4/5 hours trek).

After collecting the views of Mount Manaslu, the walk continues to Banjham village. The walk continues passing a few more villages of Lhi and Sho. The altitude gains with an hour up to Shrimp Village and then to Lho Gaon for the night. You will be spending your night at a local teahouse at Lho Gaon.

Day 9 : Trek to Sama Gaon (3,530 m /11581ft./4/5 hours trek).

Start the day with breakfast. From the Lho-Gaon onwards, you will be now entering the alpine region as the tree lines fade away. You will find short juniper bushes and some willow trees on the route. As the walk progresses on the nice path with wonderful views, the barren landscapes themselves look fantastic. With a few pushes, you will be reaching Sama Gaon for the night. It will be tonight's stop for you. You will be staying overnight at a local teahouse

Day 10 : Rest day in Sama Gaon for acclimatization.

The rest day is dedicated to acclimatization. On a free day, you can explore the wonderful village of Sama Gaon, which is very similar to Tibet. Tibetan influences the urges, traditions, and living styles.

Day 11 : Trek to Samdo(3,780m /12401ft./4/5 hours trek).

With two wonderful days in Sama Gaon, today you will be trekking to Samdo, which is the last point before crossing Larke La pass. Distance-wise the walk is not much but the high altitude and the thin air make the trekking a bit slower.  Samdo is a beautiful village with rich cultures and traditions which is solely influenced by Tibetan culture. You will be staying overnight at a local tea house.

Day 12 : Trek Dharamshala (4450m. /14599 ft. /4/5 hours trek).

The walk from Samdo leads to more barren areas, as the adventure continues crossing the Gyala Khola, then ascending to the ridge to get to the village of Larke Bazar. You will then continue your walk to Dharamshala for the night. You will be staying overnight at a local teahouse.

Day 13 : Larke Pass (5,135m/16847ft.) and descend to Bhimtang (8/9 hours trek).

One of the best and the longest day of the trip, the walk from first takes you to Larke Phedi then a gradual walk to the top of Larke La. Then the gradual winding uphill leads towards the highest point of the pass. The further you will be crossing the pass to make the final descent to Bhimtang for the night. The pass offers greater views of Himlung, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II. You will be staying overnight at a local teahouse Bhimanthang.

Day 14 : Trek to Tilje (2,560 m /8398 ft./4/5 hours trek).

An easy trek, you will be trekking to Tilje today through the thickly forested area of pines, and rhododendron trees with greater views of the Himalayas.  You will be staying overnight at a local teahouse.

Day 15 : Trek to Chamje (1,410 m /4625 ft./5/6 hours trek).

The final day of the great adventure. You will be heading southward, following the man trail by Marsyandi River downstream to get to Tal Besi. From Tal, the easy and descending route with wonderful views of the waterfalls takes you to Chamje. You will be staying overnight at a local lodge.

Day 16 : Drive back to Kathmandu (6/7 hours trek).

You will be taking a scenic drive back to Kathmandu from Chamje on this day. In Kathmandu. the drive comes back through the river bank of Marshyangdi and Trishuli. it will take around 7/8 hours to get back to Kathmandu. You can have a good rest. In your free time, you can do some last-minute shopping.

Day 17 : Final departure to Tribhubban International Airport for your onward destination or Back Home.

After a wonderful time in Nepal, today you will be transferred to the Kathmandu International Airport to catch your return flight back home. it depends upon your flight time. you have to be Airport before three hours. we are hoping to see you next time in Nepal for another Adventure activity. thank you.
