Langtang Region Trekking is the nearest trekking region from Kathmandu Nepal. Located in the north-central Himalayas, Langtang's trek is just 51 kilometers from the capital. Whereas, the famous Langtang National Park is another highlight of the region. A lot of wildlife including the Himalayan black bear, red panda, Himalayan Tahr, and more are living inside the park. The region has religious significance too. The sacred Gosaikunda Lake and the old Kyanjin Gompa monastery are two of the popular religious places in the Langtang region. Gosaikunda Lake is dedicated to the Hindu religion whereas, Kyanjin Gompa is famous for the Buddhists.

Like other treks in Nepal, the trip around Langtang can be done in mostly two seasons. The best months to travel to Langtang are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). Whereas, trekking inside the Langtang region is possible in the months of winter (December to February) as well. However, trekking in Langtang during the months of monsoon (June to August) is not recommended due to the heavy rainfall.

Langtang Valley Gosaikunda pass Trek

Langtang Ganja-la Pass Trek

The Langtang Ganja-La pass trek is one of the finest trekking adventures in the Langtang region. More than trekking this ganja la trek in the Himalayas allows us to explore the fascinating area of Langtang Valley and to pass Ganja La pass which is one of the challenging Himalayan passes. The fantastic trip includes exploring the vibrant villages of Tamang and Hyalmo tribes, these people typically live in the Himalayan belts and follow the Buddhist religion. 
Likewise, the trek to Langtang also offers to visit some of the oldest and most exciting Buddhist monasteries in the high Himalayas. Among them, Kyanjin Gompa is the major pick. This wonderful trekking route includes collecting the mesmerizing views of Ghengu Liru (Langtang II 6,571m / 21,560ft), Langtang Lirung (7,425m / 23,765ft) Kimshun (6,745m / 22,137ft) and Shalbachum(6,918m / 22, 699ft) to the south, the Chimsedang Lekh a ridge of peaks includes Naya-Kanga 5,846m or Ganjala peak with Gangchempo and more.

Like other trekking in Langtang, Langtang Valley and Ganja La Pass is also a seasonal trek. The best months to trek are the months of spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). Trekking in Nepal will be in the months of winter (December to February) is doable. But trekking in monsoon (June to August) is not recommended due to the heavy rainfall. In monsoon season you can do Tamang Heritage Trek or Langtang Valley Trek. 

Yala Peak Climbing

Yala Peak Climbing or Langtang Valley Trek is a combined trek and climb inside the famous Langtang Region. Located at an elevation of 5732 meters above sea level, the Yala Peak is a less technical climbing/trekking peak in Nepal. The peak can be climbed by a person without any previous climbing experience. Combined with Langtang Valley, the journey also includes visiting the famous Langtang Valley as well. 
The exciting journey to the Yala Peak starts with a short drive to Syabrubesi from Kathmandu. From there passing Lama Hotel with the greater landscapes, dense rhododendrons, and bamboo forest with cascading waterfalls, it then reaches Langtang village. Lantang is an interesting village inhabited by the Tamang people. Tamang is one of many tribes of Nepal, living in the higher hilly region of Nepal, and has a unique culture, tradition, custom, and language. 
The route from Langtang moves further to Kyanjin Gompa which is a nice place with good views of mountains and a Buddhist monastery. A side hike from Kyanjin Gompa to Kyanjin Ri offers fascinating views of Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal (7,405 m), Langtang Lirung (7,234 m), GhenguLiru (Langtang II 6,571m), Kimshun (6,745 m) and Shalbachum(6,918m), Chimsedang, Naya-Kanga or Ganja Chuli (5,846m), Gangchempo and more. 
Then after the trip directs towards Yala base camp and then eventually to the top of exciting Yala Peak. The Yala Peak top offers superb views of the mountains again. After completing the fascinating adventure of Yala Peak climbing, it will then redirect back to Kathmandu to end the trip. 
Like other trips in Nepal, Yala Peak Climbing and Langtang Valley Trek is also a seasonal adventure. The best time to trip is spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). However, trekking in the months of winter (December to February) and monsoon (June to August) is not recommended.
