Tilicho Lake is situated at an altitude of 4,919 meters and is a stunning turquoise lake Surrounded by snow-capped peaks including the splendid Annapurna mountain range. The trek to Tilicho Lake is a rewarding experience as it takes you through diverse landscapes from lush green forests and terraced fields to barren, rocky terrains. 

The journey to Tilicho Lake and Mesokanto Pass starts from the popular trekking trail of Annapurna Circuit. After reaching Manang, the trail diverges toward Tilicho Lake for the Mesokanto pass trek. After Manang village, the trail becomes more challenging as you approach Tilicho base Camp, situated at an altitude of 4200 meters. 

From here, your trip continues uphill to reach Tilicho Lake. In the area of the lakeside, you will enjoy the mesmerizing beauty of the lake and the surrounding mountain vistas. After visiting Tilicho Lake, the trek headed towards Meso Kanto Pass located at an altitude of 5,121 meters. Basically, in our country Nepal, been best food or national food available is Dalbhat. It is known as a traditional Nepali dish that consists of Lentil Soup (Dal), Rice (Bhat), Mix vegetable curry, and a variety of condiments. The weather conditions of Tilicho Lake and Mesokanto-la Pass Trek.

The autumn season typically spans from September to November. This time of the year will be the best and most comfortable hike as a trek or tour. Another season is spring, in this season people most like to go peak climbing.

After breakfast, you will be starting the beautiful journey of the Annapurna circuit trek. Take the Nepal mid-west highway to Besisahar first. The drive continues on the dirt road of Khudi, Bhulbule, and finally to Chamje. It is the place where you will be spending your night.

Today your walking day starts after early Morning Breakfast. You will start with Downhill and start an uphill climb up to Manang District. Here you will be Crossing the Suspension Bridge of Marsyandhi River and heading onward to Tal. As the trek continues, you can enjoy the excellent views of the Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges.  You will then finally reach Dharapani for the night. Dharapani is a small village and is the meeting point of the Annapurna circuit and Manaslu trekking. You will be spending the night at a local teahouse.

The trek resumes after breakfast. Taking the wide winding trail through rhododendrons and pine forest, you will first be passing the small yet beautiful village of Bagarchap. You will then gradually get to Danaque and then to Timing. You are now officially entering the area with reaching Buddhist culture. In the final section, you will be passing Koto before getting to Chame village. You will be spending your night at Chame at a local lodge.

From here onwards air gets cooler and fresher as the walk leads close to mountains, a morning walk through an alpine forest of rhododendron and pine trees, following Marshyangdi River upstream with a few short ups and down hills to Bhratang village. Overlooking views of Chulu’s and Pisang peaks, a possible lunch break here, and then an afternoon walk descend to reach lower Pisang village for an overnight stop.

Start the day with breakfast. You will then start the trek with great views of mountains and surrounding landscapes. The route slowly starts gaining altitude and offers greater views of Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Chulu, and more. From Hongde village, the tree lines disappear and the cold weather welcomes you. Along the way to Manang. You will get a chance to visit the Braga monastery. Then get to Manang village for the overnight.

Manang village is a village with a rich culture and traditions.  You will be spending two nights here in Manang.

From Manang village, you will be taking a diverted route from the main Annapurna circuit route to reach Khangsar first. Then you will be further trekking to Tilicho base camp for the night. There are few teahouses around in the base camp. It will be an overnight place for the day. You will be staying overnight at a local lodge.

The big day of the trip is here. You will be starting early morning to cross the high passes. You will be the first crossing the Tilicho Pass then will be descending to the Mesokanto La base. After some time, rest in the base camp, you will be then given the final shot to pass the Mesokanto La at 5099 meters. You can collect a wonderful view of the mountains from the ridge. Upon completing the climb, you will then descend to Nama Phu for the night. You will be staying overnight at a tented camp.
